Cardi B has come a long way from being an Instagram sensation to a history making, chart-topping rapper. Her hit single “Bodak Yellow” got the Hip Hop community wondering what’s next for the Bronx native.
She has a song featuring her bae Offset, as well as a feature on Migos’ “Motorsport” alongside Nicki Minaj, and got a dope verse on G-Eazy’s “No Limit”. There was a rumor that the Gangsta B*tch was collaborating with Beyonce after engineer Michael Ashby posted a picture of a music file with Bardi and Bey’s name with the words “demo” written on it. But that rumor was put to rest last night at Powerhouse.
Billboard addressed the rumor with Cardi and she responded saying that she doesn’t even know Ashby. “I don’t even know why people are making those speculations,” she said, “I don’t know that man.” But we could look forward to a collaboration with Cardi and Kehlani in the future. Well, I haven’t finished it, but I heard something and I was like, ‘Oh, Kehlani! I love her.’ She’s such a sweetie. Definitely,” she told Billboard.
