Swizz Beatz will be graduating from Harvard in three weeks.
Yesterday (October 29th), he posted a positive video on his Instagram telling people that it’s never too late to go back to school as he went back to his studying, Swizz said: “it’s never too late to be great ?? Blessings and thx for all the love and support ?? 3yrs went by very fast wow 3 weeks until graduation ?? #Fromthebronxtoharvard focus time ?.”
As you may remember the multi talented record producer/songwriter Swizz Beatz was accepted into Harvard Business School’s nine-week Owner/President Management Extension Program back in April 2014. This program was also attended by Antonio “L.A.” Reid at the behest of Clive Davis.
Starting his career straight out of high school Swizz became popular, working with artist such as Nas, Ludacris, Jadakiss, JAY-Z, and Nicki Minaj just to name a few, and he is also a fashion and shoe designer; Husband to singer/pianist Alicia Keys, and now soon to be Harvard Graduate.
Although the program does not give an actual Harvard degree, it does teach students applicable entrepreneurial skills in strategy development, financial management, team building, and negotiation. “In this program they will learn how to improve their leadership effectiveness, build strategic consensus, and acquire skills to position their company for future success,” according to the course detail. Swizz says that he decided to attend Harvard Business School because as he became more business oriented he felt he wasn’t getting the respect he deserved. He believed his lack of credentials was one reason people didn’t take his business moves seriously.
