“The ting goes skrrrah, pap, pap, pap, ka-ka-ka”

The world got to meet 26 year old British Comedian, Michael Dapaah aka ‘Big Shaq’ officially after his performance for ‘Fire in the Booth’ on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s went viral. Since then the new found rapper has been seen with DJ Khaled, Lil Yachty, and Waka Flocka flame, also making appearances on the BET Hip Hop Award’s red carpet. Early September Big Shaq released the official music video for his viral track “Mans Not Hot” which has reached over a million views and counting and is now trending on YouTube. In the videos intro the rapper says: “You know man’s international now, fam check the statistics.”

“Will the Real Shaq please stand up!”

Standing at 7ft tall, retired NBA basketball player and rapper Shaquille O’Neal is not feeling the new found success received by ‘Big Shaq’. Shaquille posted a video on his Instagram last night (October 30th) recording a diss record in response to Michael Dapaah. His caption said: “Dear fake Shaq, this is how you spit, not 2 Plus 2 is four, we kno that already #learnhowtorap #Onlyoneplatinumshaq #shaqfuradio #spityogame #realbarz .”

The two public figures have had their differences play out in the public eye before. ‘Big Shaq released a diss record prior to, addressing Shaquille O’Neal’s displeasing views on his stage name, and overnight success. Michael Dapaah titled their ongoing beef as “A fight between David and Goliath”, and in an attempt to prove whose the real ‘Big Shaq’ he released his diss track on October 26th saying: “That shaq is expired, your career is over… there is a new man in town.”

Hopefully the two can squash the ‘Battle of the Shaqs’ and call it truce. Until then, listen to the Big Shaq diss below.
