According to TMZ, Willie Maxwell, popularly known as New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap was arrested on Friday morning for drunk driving.
The “Trap Queen” rapper was driving a black 2012 Mercedes CLS AMG around 1 AM, when he was pulled over by police on the Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn for speeding and drag racing with another vehicle, while under the influence. Fetty Wap, who appeared drunk to police, was allegedly going 100 miles per hour in a 50 miles per hour zone.
He failed a sobriety test given by the NYPD where he blew a .09, just above the legal .08 blood alcohol content. In addition, the rapper handed over an expired New Jersey driver’s license to authorities.
He was arrested and taken into custody for 15 charges which include, unsafe lane changing, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated, following too close to a vehicle, speeding, illegal signal, reckless endangerment, and four counts of a speed violation.
Reports claim he will be arraigned in Downtown Brooklyn later today.
