Ready to laugh non-stop at the movies this holiday season?
‘Daddy’s Home 2’ is the quintessential family PG-13 comedy sure to please your entire troop from A to Z. Following their 2015 smash, ‘Daddy’s Home‘ the sequel finds the quirky, overly upbeat stepfather (Will Ferrell) who is intimidated by his stepkids macho dad (Mark Wahlberg) but decides to ‘co-dad’ on vacation to give the kids an unforgettable Christmas.
Reminiscent of the 1989-classic ‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation‘, Brad Whitaker (Will Ferrell) finds himself in tons of unintentional accidents and straight-laced antics alongside his stepkids muscular and masculine father Dusty Mayron (Mark Walhberg). Mel Gibson plays Dusty’s bad boy father Kurt who tells dirty jokes and charms the ladies while John Lithgow plays Brad’s overzealous father who unabashedly greets his grown son with a kiss on the lips.
As the four mega stars clash causing tons of funnies— the younger actors steal the show throughout the movie. Brad offering his step-son Dylan (Owen Vaccaro) advice on how to get his first kiss left the theater in an uproar of laughter. A surprise visit from Dusty’s step-kids biological dad Roger, (John Cena), who is even more masculine then Dusty provides an unexpected twist that will keep viewers in stitches.
If you’re looking for a gut-busting laugh complete with slapstick humor, ‘Daddy’s Home 2‘ will definitely do the trick.
