Jay Z Hits The Book To Protest Meek Getting Time

Today, Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill got booked for a 2 -4 year bid for violating his probation. While some are saying the sentencing was too harsh, others look to his reckless regard for the law as grounds for his current situation. Last Spring, Nicki Minaj’s old bae caught an assault charge and earlier this fall while banging out his bike copped that reckless driving and endangerment jawn. And while bother of those charges were dropped, they clearly contributed to the judges’s decision.

Hip-Hop’s elite came out in support but no voice was as loud as JAY-Z‘s.  Jigga posted on his Facebook the following:

“The sentence handed down by the Judge—against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer—is unjust and heavy handed. We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career.”
