Lavar Ball‘s other son, Li Angelo Ball is trending for all the wrong reasons. UCLA men’s basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill have been released on bail following their arrest over an alleged shoplifting incident in China.
News surfaced earlier this week about some Big Baller Brand pop-up shops appearing in China, where LaVar, LaMelo and the rest of the Ball crew have been for the last few days to catch middle son LiAngelo’s UCLA Bruins debut.

UCLA released a statement: “We are aware of a situation involving UCLA student-athletes in Hangzhou, China. The University is cooperating fully with local authorities on this matter, and we have no further comment at this time.”
According to ESPN, nearly 20 police officers came into the Hyatt Hangzhou at approximately 8 a.m. local time Tuesday and spoke to numerous players from both the Georgia Tech and UCLA teams. The players were reportedly kept in a room for hours and not allowed to speak to any of the coaches.
The UCLA basketball team is visiting China for its season opener against Georgia Tech, which will take place Saturday at Shanghai’s Baoshan Arena. If true, that ain’t a good look for the Big Baller Brand.
