Meek Mill Turns Himself in for Prison Bid

The Philly emcee was sentenced to time in jail due to probation violations. He failed a urine test, had an altercation at St. Louis airport which violated his traveling restrictions, and posted a video of himself riding through the streets of New York City on his dirt bike. Although the NYC and St. Louis cases have both been dropped, the arrests has landed him in jail yet again.

Meek has been on probation since 2009 for a drug and gun case. He served time in jail and was on house arrest for violation of probation and parole in the past 8 years. “I’ve been trying to help you since 2009,” the judge said at Meek’s latest hearing referencing his latest screw ups. “You basically thumbed your nose at me.”

The Wins and Losses rapper’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, plans to appeal the ruling, accusing the judge of inappropriate acts. He said that she requested the rapper remake Boyz II Men’s “On Bended Knee” included with a personal shoutout to her and wanted him to leave Roc Nation to sign with her friend.

The Hip Hop community has cried out in support of Meek including T.I. and JAY-Z. The Roc Nation boss interrupted his 4:44 show to address the harsh ruling.

Meek Mill caught a charge when he was like 19,” said JAY. “He’s 30 now. He’s been on probation 11 years. Fuckin’ 11 years. Probation. 11 years. Judge just violated, he’s gotta do 2-4 years ’cause he got arrested for being on a bike, poppin’ a fuckin’ wheelie. Still ni**a.
