As the old saying goes, “the road to success is never a straight line.” The same is true for artist/producer, DOT.. Originally touted as one of the top hockey prospects in North America, a shoulder injury put his career in athletics at a standstill, thus leading him to begin nurturing his love of music. Already dabbling in beat-making, a chance meeting led to him sliding his production to Violator Management’s team and from there, DOT. was off to the races. The Queens native then began landing production placements with the likes of Tony Yayo, Jim Jones and more.

From there, DOT. began navigating his way through the music industry, gaining valuable experience working with industry veterans Jean Nelson and Gee Roberson of The Blueprint Group. While there he contributed on projects for chart toppers G-Eazy and Nicki Minaj amongst others. Stepping out as an MC came organically as his mentor, the iconic Chuck D of Public Enemy, urged DOT. to strop crafting ideas for major labels and focus on his own artistry.

The end result is his forthcoming debut LP titled “Start The Hate.” Executive produced by DOT. Along with the Real Vibez music team and Vekz Madison of Reload Music, the project will be released via his Real Vibez Only imprint. The first release from the project, “Bound 2 See,” premiered in summer 2017 and peaked at #4 on the UK urban charts and at #13 on the UK pop charts. Now, with 2018 on the horizon, DOT. unveils his captivating visual for “Bound 2 See.” Speaking on the song, DOT. shared: “Bound 2 See is a record that is meant to be reflective of my current state of mind and will reinforce to fans that they can achieve what they set out to do with their lives as well as have confidence in what they are striving for while always staying true to themselves and maintaining authenticity,” which is DOT’s most important message.
