Power generation was at over 40% of capacity yet plummeted to 18% on Wednesday. A majority of Puerto Rico has been powerless since Hurricane Maria ravaged the island on September 20.

The downed power line was repaired previously by Whitefish Energy, a Montana firm recently under fire for a $300 million contract to restore power on the island. The deal was later canceled by the Puerto Rico government.
