Last month, we wrote about actor Terry Crews series of tweets where he allegedly said he was groped by an unnamed big time Hollywood executive at a party right in front of his wife. The shocking tweets helped bring further awareness to sexual assault and harassment in Hollywood and also to male victims of assault.

But now Terry, 49, has gone on ahead and filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department this week specifically regarding the assault.

Deadline exclusively reported:

“We can confirm that a crime report was completed at the LAPD Hollywood division station,” said an LAPD spokesman, who said he could not reveal the name of the alleged assailant. The police report comes a month after Crews tweeted about the alleged assault by an unidentified “high-level Hollywood executive.” “My wife and I were at a Hollywood function last year and a high level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates. Jumping back, I said, ‘What are you doing?!’ My wife saw everything and we looked at him like he was crazy. He just grinned like a jerk.”

Crews came out publicly about his assault amidst Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein countless sexual assault allegations and now more recently numerous other high profile celebrity names. It’s as though people in Hollywood have now found strength in numbers to come out with their individual stories of rape, sodomy and molestation from powerful executives and most were non-isolated occurrences. Over the next few months even more stars will be coming forward with their assault stories and as they do, maybe it will finally help to bring this dirty, open secret to the forefront so things can begin to change.
