“The max-imum of MC’s are populating, the min-imum of those MC’s are dominating, now all and together now, to what what who. Rhymes come stinky like a girl’s poo poo.”

Russell Tyrone Jones also known as Ol’ Dirty Bastard cursed, screamed and rhymed his way into Hip=Hop and into our hearts. With lyrics like

“Ooo baby I like it raw”, and “you give me your number, I’ll call you up. You act like your p***y on interrupt. I don’t have no trouble with you f***ing me, but I have a little problem with you not f***ing me,” it’s no wonder he was considered the wildest member of the Wu- Tang Clan.

His personality was erratic, straight forward, and boisterous, but he was himself. ODB never compromised, whether it was rushing the stage at the Grammy’s, picking up his welfare check in a stretch limousine, and even sneaking out of jail; you never really knew who you were going to get in that moment.

With all that being said, the emcee still managed to have a successful musical career both as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, and as a solo artist; Dirty released two popular albums, ‘Return to the 36 chambers’ and ‘Nigga Please’. On November 13, 2004, Ol’ Dirty Bastard passed away just two days before his birthday from a drug overdose. Today, we celebrate his 49th Birthday.
