Titanic has been set for a re-release in honor of the 20th anniversary.

Dolby Laboratories, Paramount Pictures, and AMC Theatres made the announcement Wednesday with AMC launching online ticket sales. The classic flick starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet won 11 Academy Awards.

The director, James Cameron, explained that the film has been mastered and he is excited for everyone else to see it again.

We mastered a few minutes of ‘Titanic’ in Dolby Vision and I was stunned. It was like seeing it for the first time. Now that the entire film has been mastered, I’m excited to share it with audiences across the U.S.

The film will be shown in 3D at 20 locations.

This is beyond 3D, beyond 70mm, it’s beyond anything you’ve seen before. The image leaps off the screen as bright and vibrant as life itself. This is the way all movies should be seen and without a doubt, ‘Titanic’ has NEVER looked better, Cameron said.

Titanic will be in theaters starting December 1st for a week.
