As 2017 comes to an end, Rae Sremmurd is launching us into 2018 with their ‘Perplexing Pegasus’ video that released on Friday. In true representation of the song’s title, Rae Sremmurd’s video displays the symbolism of a mythical Pegasus in more ways than one — in which in Greek mythology is the source in which poets come to draw inspiration, and also a symbol of wisdom and especially fame.
Swae Lee & Slim Jimmy transition back and forth from a room full of money and beautiful women with leotards to a room full of hipsters dancing and partying with camera angles switching from up side down to right side up embodying true perplexity.
‘Perplexing Pegasus’ is the first single released as apart of the duo’s upcoming Sremm Life 3 album that was officially confirmed to be released in 2018. Contrary to previous statements announcing that Sremm Life 3 would be the last of the Sremm Life Series, Swae has since contradicted ensuring that they will keep the chronicles going.
Rae Sremmurd’s Sremm Life 2 album was also confirmed to be RCAA certified platinum as of November 10, 2017 which makes their second consecutive platinum album with hopes that Sremm Life 3 will do just as well.
