Angela Rye, a CNN political analyst is reportedly receiving alarming death threats and states the threats began after she went public with her new boyfriend, Common.
TMZ reportedly got a hold of court documents which state Rye has revealed receiving “annoying, harassing, and threatening” messages on her phone, social media and email. The messages began to get scary after the messenger started getting specific.
According to Los Angeles Police Department, the baneful messenger has mentioned spots Rye and Common have privately visited in the threatening messages, stirring fear in the famed vocal activist.
On August 5th, Rye received a rather eerie email that said the following: “Yr dumb dead ass gonna be found in a river” with the phrase “Let me catch ya ass I’m put the paws on ya,” added on to the email of fright.
The LAPD has successfully obtained a search warrant to scan through the messenger’s social media accounts and reportedly has the Threat Management division also investigating the case.
News about Rye and Common’s profound bond sparked in September when the factual bound commentator took to Instagram to congratulate “this guy” on his grand Emmy win.
In a recent interview, Common expressed how dating the CNN correspondent has made him more politically engaged.
