Fox News host and former TV judge Jeanine Pirro was busted driving 119 miles per hour in upstate New York Sunday, the media reports.
State police said Pirro was caught driving 119 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone at 1 pm in the afternoon in Tioga County.
Pirro said in a statement through Fox News that she was driving to visit her mother and “didn’t realize” she was going nearly twice the speed limit.
“I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didn’t realize how fast I was driving. I believe in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences,” Pirro said.
According to the New York DMV, any conviction for going over 40 miles per hour above the speed limit could result in 11 points on a person’s driver’s license. At 11 points, the DMV suspends their license.
