Amber Rose walks away unscathed after a Philadelphia judge reportedly rules in her favor against her former mother-in-law.
As reported, Katie “Peachie” Wimbush-Polk, filed a emotional distress lawsuit against Amber back in July. In the suit, Wiz’s mom accused Amber of “impute(d) criminality”. During a third party call, Amber allegedly accused her former mother-in-law for allowing her daughter, Dorien “LaLa” Thomaz to die. Thomaz passed away due to complications with Lymphoma a few months prior. Wimbush-Polk followed the call with a lawsuit, claiming that she felt the comments were maliciously intended and potentially harmful to her reputation, adding that it caused her “several mental anguish.”
However, the Judge did not agree with Wimbush-Polk, ruling that “Mere insults, indignities, threats annoyances, petty oppressions, and other trivialities” do not equate to causing emotional distress. Rose, was initially sued for defamation in a separate suit that has also been throw out of court.
Nothing more but beef between former in-laws. Case closed.
