In case you didn’t know, the Los Angeles Police Department has formed a special task force assigned to Hollywood. The purpose is to curb sexual assault and misconduct.
The former first lady, Michelle Obama is now sharing her thoughts on the slew of allegations around Hollywood. She has always been willing to lend her voice to social issues. Mrs Obama says the stark number of allegations makes her sick:
I can’t tell you how sick it makes me, the more I see the uncovering of the truth that all us women know has been out there, that there is an ugliness there,” she said while addressing a crowd in Connecticut.
Women are the foundation of human life. Without them, a man cannot exist. Tupac once said:
And since we all came from a woman. Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman” I wonder why we take from our women?” Before asking bigger questions: Why do we rape our women — do we hate our women?
We must work together to protect our women. Regardless of age, encourage young men and boys to respect girls and women. When declined, a man needs to take it like a man, and move on.
“If we want young women to be strong and have voices and advocate for themselves, then we have to realize how much work we have to do,’’ she continued.
The former first lady commanded men to step into the forefront. Say what you want about former president Barack Obama, but his family is well maintained. Mrs. Obama wants men to embrace their role as protector. Being accountable of our women, “I’m talking to the men out there, who cannot be innocent bystanders and complacent … watching this happen.”
We hope all, will take heed to the wisdom imparted by the former first lady.
