Add former NBA player Baron Davis to the growing list of players taking their talents to the Big3 League.
The announcement was made yesterday (Dec. 16) during The Black Santa Company’s first annual charity basketball game. Davis will join Allen Iverson’s team 3’s company for the league’s second season. The 38-year-old last played in the NBA in 2012 as a member of the New York Knicks.
Davis played 13 seasons in the NBA with career averages of 16.1 points and 7.2 assists. He made two All-Star teams but was probably most famous for helping lead the eighth-seeded Golden State Warriors to an upset over the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 2007 playoffs.
The second season promises to be bigger with its games now being broadcast live on Fox Sports on Friday nights. Team rosters have also been expanded to include co-captains for the second season. Some new faces besides Davis will be joining the league as well, including Metta World Peace, who will team up with Stephen Jackson and Charles Oakley.
Season 2 is scheduled to begin on June 22nd 2018.
