Today, Foot Locker and the Jordan brand launch their holiday campaign featuring NBA star Kawhi Leonard in a spot entitled “Bold Like Kawhi.” Although we know Kawhi to be quite the risk taker on the court, this new visual ad shows Kawhi much differently than we’re used to – as an invigorating dare devil off the court.

The “Bold Like Kawhi” spot comedically narrates a very spontaneous day-in-the-life of Kawhi after he was unexpectedly gifted Air Jordan 1 OG High Gatorade sneakers from his teammate LaMarcus Aldridge. 

Shortly after putting on his new kicks, Kawhi hits the studio with Nipsey Hussle as he is recording his newly released single ‘Rap Niggaz.’ In addition, Kawhi attends an auction, attends a black belt karate class, drives a low-rider and party’s with the Les Twins. all while recording his every move on social media for the world to see. Fast forward to game day and Kawhi finds himself in front of reporters who ask, “Any comment about your day yesterday?”

Kawhi responds, “I was hacked.”

The new Gatorade Air Jordan 1’s launch in four bold ‘flavorways’— Orange, Lemon Lime, Grape, and Blue Cherry on December 26. The Air Jordan Gatorade VI will be released four days later on December 30.

In regards to his new national commercial/acting debut Kawhi stated:

“I had a ton of fun partnering with Foot Locker and Jordan Brand to show off another side of my personality that most fans don’t get to see every day. Being part of a holiday campaign that pays homage to the original ‘Be Like Mike’ Gatorade ad is really special.”
