On this date in 1971, Daniel Dumile aka MF DOOM, the illustrious and elusive emcee/producer was born in London, England. Over the span of three decades, his influence on Hip Hop music on an international level is paralleled by very few artists of his stature.
Ever since DOOM and his KMD crew dropped the catchy “Peachfuzz” single in 1989 when he ran under the moniker Zev Love X, the 47 year old Hip Hop mainstay has solidified his individualistic lane in the game and after dropping over four dozen projects, including collabos and instrumental albums, it’s evident that DOOM and his iconic, masked influence won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
DOOM just lost his son Malachi Ezekiel Dumile at the tender age of 14 at the end of last year and The Source Magazine would like to send our condolences once again while DOOM commemorates his 47th trip around the sun.
