In the worst kept WWE secret in years, all signs point to Ronda Rousey leaving MMA for professional wrestling.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque confirmed to The Post he and the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion dined in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, which was first reported by TMZ.
The meeting comes at a perfect time for Rousey, especially if it points to her being back on WWE programming in some form.
The company will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Monday Night Raw” on Jan. 22 with shows at Barclays Center and Manhattan Center. That Sunday is also the Royal Rumble pay-per-view at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. It will feature the first women’s Royal Rumble match with 30 participants. The winner gets a championship match at WrestleMania.
Could Rousey get one of those slots?
It would be a great way to bring her into the WWE. Rousey could legitimize the company’s outlook for women wrestling going forward.
