In 2013, the Grand Hustle artist born Glenn Lamar Thomas was shot and killed during a performance at Centennial Bar & Grill in Montgomery. Doe B was one of three victims on that deadly night. 21-year-old Kimberle Johnson and 20-year-old Timnarius Hamilton were also fatally shot that night.

Thomas’ 85 year sentence was part of a plea deal he accepted in December. Had he not taken the plea, reports say that the father of five could’ve received a life sentence with no chance for parole. Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey acknowledged that down the road there is a chance for parole for the shooter although he does not expect that to ever happen. Bailey believes Thomas will die in jail.

Before his murder, Doe B was blazing to be Grand hustle’s premiere artist. The eye patch wearing rapper released his Baby Jesus mixtape five months before he was killed. The the 20-track mixtape hosted by DJ Scream had production from Metro Boomin, Zaytoven and others with features from B.O.B., Young Dro, Rich Homie Quan and many others.

T.I. released Doe’s posthumous mixtape Definition of a Trapper 3 in April 2014. Doe B’s last projet features T.I. as well as Kevin Gates, Young Dro, Spodee, and Trae tha Truth.
