According to Rolling Stone, on January 16, hip-hop mogul Sean”Diddy” Combs announced that he will be donating a generous amount of $200,000 to the Suubi “Hope” Health Center in Uganda. Diddy told Rolling Stone,

“I’ve always said my purpose is to inspire and empower the next generation to become great leaders – and to honor their hustle along the way. In addition to passing the torch to French, I’m showing my support for the work he is doing in Uganda.”

A healthcare initiative launched by French Montana after the filming of his music video “Unforgettable,” the initiative is a partnership with non-profits Mama Hope and Global Citizen, which caters to improving women’s maternity healthcare. This includes, “building out the maternal healthcare facilities – a prenatal care clinic, a birth house, a new ambulance and more.” In Diddy’s PSA for Mama Hope, he states,

“It’s important to give back, it’s important to be an agent of change. That’s a core part of being down with the Bad Boy family.”

Diddy has donated $100,000 through Ciroc French Vanilla, and is planning to match the donation with his own personal gift of $100,000. He joins French Montana and The Weeknd, who have each donated $100,000 to the Mama Hope organization.
