CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta says that President Donald Trump has Heart Disease.

According to CNN, In 2009 President Trump’s coronary calcium score (which doctors use to gauge heart activity in patients) was a 34 and in 2013 it was a 98. Now, compare that to what it is in 2018, marking in at a whopping 133.

If a patient has a score rating 100 or more, he or she runs a high risk of having a heart attack or developing heart disease within 3-5 years.

“Because of his diet and because of his lack of exercise that would be part of the reason those numbers have likely gone up and they have continued to go up despite the fact that he’s been on medications,” said Dr. Gupta on CNN’s New Day. “So the President has heart disease, those numbers qualify him for heart disease and he clearly needs a plan to try and prevent some sort of heart problem down the road.”

This comes a day after Physician to the President, Dr. Ronny Jackson spoke to a room full of reporters for over an hour at the White House Press Briefing and said that the president was overall in “excellent health.” One critique the prominent physician did have was that Trump needed to exercise more. If we are to believe this doctor and the medical documents released, 45 is a strapping older gentlemen at 6 foot 3 and 236 pounds, only one pound shy of being “obese.”

Another concern that many had was Trump’s mental stability.  Pundits often argue whether or not the President suffers from dementia or some other mental disability given his objectively obvious short attention span, short term memory,  and inability to focus on detail. To address those concerns, Dr. Jackson said there are “no concerns” about Trump’s cognitive ability.
