Known best for starring in blaxploitation films and being the sexy siren on screen, Pam Grier is behind the screen as she has her biopic in the works.
In this film, we’ll travel back in time to the 70s as we get a look into her life and sexual affairs with actors Richard Pryor and Freddie Prinze, as well as basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The biopic tentatively titled Pam and will bring Grier’s memoir, Foxy: The Three Acts of My Life, to life.
White Famous and Saturday Night Live’s comedian Jay Pharoah will play Richard Pryor. Pharoah met Grier while they were recording voices for the video game Infinity Wars. It was then Ms. Foxy Brown knew Pharoah was the perfect person for the role. In the memoir, Grier revealed she started using cocaine during her relationship with Richard.
There isn’t a release date for Pam as of yet, but producers continue to search for the perfect cast. Who would you like to see play Pam?
