NBA Hall of Famer (and TNT Commentator) Shaquille O’Neal is taking his larger than life personality (and even larger physical stature) to Carnival Cruise.

Recently, O’Neal has assumed the role as CFO for the vacation cruise line. CFO? Yes, Chief Fun Officer!

What better person to obtain this role than the “Big Aristotle” himself? Known for his great sense of humor and ability to make light out of most situations, the former all-star becomes the perfect ambassador for the cruise line’s “Choose Fun” campaign.

“I’m honored to be appointed the Chief Fun Officer at Carnival– a company that lives and breathes fun, said O’Neal. “In today’s world, it’s more important than ever to choose fun, especially when everyone is busy with work, family, and life in general.

This is perfect. People love Shaq. Throughout his time as a player, his exuberant and extroverted personality brought character and a sense of versatility to the game; a trait that many other big men lacked. Besides being a dominant force on the court, he made a number of television appearances, short lived rap career with a platinum debut in 1993, clothing line, became a sheriff and of course rocked the purple and gold as a Mighty Man of Omega Psi Phi. Shaq continues to redefine himself, proving to all retired athletes there is life after a stellar career on the court.
