New reports reveal that Cardi B could have a spot on movie screens in the near future.
According to a new report by TMZ, the Bronx rapper signed a movie deal and is scheduled to begin shooting in March. What Bartier Cardi is making from this movie is unknown, but Cardi has supposedly been turning down $100,000-$200,000 shows in order to shoot this film. So it’s a safe bet that she’s probably in for a serious bag.
Unless the album is already done, this could be a shot in the arm to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s fans who were waiting on some new Cardi B music.
Cardi expressed in the past that she was taking her time with the album. She also admits that she has many different influences regarding the kind of music she wants to make. These influences come from her fiancée and Migos rapper Offset, her record company Atlantic, and all the diversity that comes from just being from New York. It doesn’t seem like she will have a huge problem making a hit album… she has been making hits all along. Cardi B recently broke Beyonce’s record of having the most songs in the Billboard Top 10 at once. Bruno Mars’ “Finesse” remix, Migos’ “Motorsport”, “Bartier Cardi”, G-Eazy‘s”No Limit” and “Bodak Yellow” are all five tracks Cardi B has in the top ten Hip-Hop and R&B Billboard Charts, making her the first female artist to do it and the third artist ever to do it. As if that were not enough, Cardi is also up for two Grammy awards this year for “Bodak Yellow.” She is nominated for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
And there doesn’t seem to be a pause button on her career.
Cardi did recently reveal that she is working on the video for “Bartier Cardi” featuring 21 Savage. And considering how long Bruno Mars songs be on charts, “Finesse” which should keep Cardi’s name buzzing for a while. With all of her musical success, one might wonder why Cardi B would transition to acting so soon in her career. The reality is… this little engine that could simply can do it all.
