Born on the same day as Tupac died, 21-year-old Playboi Carti is about to head across the UK, continental Europe, Australia and New Zealand for a 20-date tour, taking in most regional capitals over an extended six-week stint.
His hectic touring schedule builds on the back of the momentum gained from his 40+ American and Canadian tour dates over the last seven months, playing festivals, sold out shows and frequently touring with Lil Uzi Vert, Gucci Mane, Dreezy and A$AP Mob.
The Atlanta-born and now LA-based Playboi Carti released his debut 9-track mixtape titled Young Mi$fit under his previous alias of $ir Cartier in late 2012 when he was 16 years old. He most recently released his debut commercial self-titled mixtape featuring Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky and Harry Fraud in April 2017 on AWGE Records / Interscope Records that earlier this month was certified as Gold.
The release featured the three successful singles Lookin, wokeuplikethis (feat. Lil Uzi Vert) and Magnolia, with the previous two singles both charting and achieving Platinum sales in America and Gold or better in Canada. Currently dating model Blac Chyna, it appears that 2018 might take the young Playboi to even future mainstream super-stardom.
