Legendary Porn Star, Ron Jeremy, has been banned from the 2018 AVN Adult Entertainment Awards and Expo in Las Vegas amid allegations of rape and sexual misconduct. The first allegations came up in June of last year when a woman named Ginger Banks made a YouTube video discussing Jeremy’s sexual misconduct while providing video evidence. Ever since then, other women have come forward with their own allegations against the legendary porn star.

AVN says that the 64-year-old violated their code of conduct by engaging in these actions. Jeremy admitted to Rolling Stone Magazine in a written statement that he had groped women during his long spanning career in the industry but any groping was playful and part of his persona in the porn industry.  He also highlights that all groping was consensual and that the women who he playfully grabbed would laugh or even grope him back. Jeremy also denies ever raping any woman in his life.

“I am not Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, Weinstein, or Cosby,” Jeremy says in his statement to Rolling Stone.“I have never and would never rape anyone.” Reports have said that a woman claims Jeremy raped her twice in December of 1997.

“I have been heartbroken over these allegations. Not because it affects me or my business, I can take that, but because they are lies and there are actual women and men out there Who have been victims of serious sexual assault, and so on, that are trying to get their voices heard.”

Jeremy also expressed in the statement that this issue was a “non-story” and that many of the women who are coming forward are suffering from “buyer’s remorse.” The AVN disagrees with Jeremy’s position on this issue however, and is upholding their ban against the porn legend. The AVN expo will start this weekend.
