Tee Grizzley was feeling himself on Twitter around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, and dropped a bombshell on his fans and followers. The Detroit Rapper has been working hard on his upcoming album, and in an overly ambitious tweet said, “Ima have the best album the world ever heard in all genres.”

That’s right! Nas’ Illmatic, The miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Beyonce’s  I Am… Sasha Fierce, all the way to the Beatles White Album, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon and Miles Davis’ Birth of the Cool will all soon play second fiddle to Tee Grizzley’s “Activated” album, according to the rapper.

The “No Effort” MC reposted the enthusiastic tweet on Instagram with a projected release date of his debut album.  The caption reads, “Screenshot this tweet if I’m lying I’ll pay you. ‘Activated’ in March.”

Grizzley first came into the spotlight with the single, “First Day Out” which came from his ‘My Moment’ mixtape he released in April. The song turned into a platinum hit and launched Tee Grizzley into the hip-hop mainstream. The track which had no chorus got the attention of Jay-Z who when  asked on Rap Radar Podcast about Tee Grizzley and his hit song the Roc Nation CEO simply said, “I believe it.” Hov also gave Grizzley a shoutout on Twitter saying at the time that “First Day Out” was the hottest song out.

He recently teamed up with fellow Midwest spitter Lil Durk for the Bloodas mixtape. As Grizzley got hot, the two rappers built a friendship and wanted to drop something together before Grizzley got back on album mode.

With Atlantic Records and 300 Entertainment backing him, Grizzley is looking to drop a classic album. Following Grizzley’s original tweet about the album, he also revealed that Jeezy will be one of the featured artists on his new album. Jeezy has been vocal about his appreciation for what Tee Grizzley is doing which is why the Atlanta OG put the 23-year-old on his newest album, Pressure, with plans to perform together on the Cold Summer tour starting in February.
