Quincy Jones gets up close and personal in a recent interview with GQ Magazine. Jones talked about everything including the hilarious, out of pocket moments like memories of Prince trying to run over Michael Jackson, the severe poverty his family endured when he was younger, and turning down Marilyn Monroe because she “had a chest that looked like pears.” One topic that caught the public’s attention was when Quincy opened up about his personal life and admitted to having 22 girlfriends.
84-year-old Quincy Jones is proud of his relationships; all 22 of them. His girlfriends live all over the world, are much younger than him and they are all aware of each other. Seems like Ludacris ain’t the only one with different area codes. “Cape Town. Cairo. Stockholm- she’s coming next week. Brazil- Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, and Rio. Shanghai- got a great girl over there from Shanghai, man. Cairo, whew.”
Although Jones never officially confirmed the age groups of these women, his two daughters Rashida Jones 43 and Kidada Jones 41 supposedly gave him a new age range to date.
“Well, my daughters gave me new numbers, because they kept saying, ‘Dad, you can’t go out with girls younger than us.’ I said, ya’ll are not young anymore…so the new numbers are 28 to 42. They gave them to me.”
Throughout the interview, Quincy quotes one of his personal axioms: “Je ne regrette rien de tout. I don’t regret shit.” It’s a good thing to see Quincy living his best life.
