New Jersey Battle Rapper Tsu Surf is finally out of jail after being locked up last year for what is believed to be aggravated assault charges. The Gun Titles rapper is known throughout battle rap for already having two gun charges prior to his most recent arrest, so fans of the Wave God had a right to be pessimistic about his future.

The Free Surf hashtag was regularly circulating around the community, and Surf was almost regularly mentioned in battles. Back in June, Surf spoke with Battle Rap blogger, Jay Blac, with a message of hope for being released some time soon. He told Blac that following his release, he plans to finish his mixtape with no immediate plans to “jump back in the ring” and start battling again, although he did admit that if his money is funny he’s willing to take on some competition. Seven months later, the Wave is now free.

Fellow Battle Rapper and the other half of the Gun Titles duo, Tay Roc, announced on Twitter that he has spoken to Tsu Surf sending shockwaves throughout the Ultimate Rap League Community.

“My boy @Tsu_Surf FaceTimed me late as f**k last night,” said Baltimore rapper Tay Roc on Twitter. “I ain’t know the number and wifey was right next to [me] lookin like who the f**k is that so I was forced to answer, luckily it was Gang Gang!! Love u Brodie! WE BACK!! And back for good!”

With Surf being one of the best to do it giving fans classic battles against K-Shine, Hollow Da Don, Conceited, Hitman Holla and DNA, the URL fan base is excited to see Surf soon get back in his bag after his stint in jail. Surf’s last battle on Smack/URL was against North Carolina rapper T-Top at NOME 6.
