The Brooklyn Nets have saluted a Brooklyn emcee Fabolous at the Barclays Center and honored him by helping the team launch their Nike City Edition uniforms during the game against the Philadelphia 76ers. By kicking off the “Fabulous Night” he had 100 young kids from his neighborhood of Bed-Stuy from his foundation, A Fabulous Way. He did a shoot around with the youngins on the practice court and afterward he took pictures and connected with them.

The fans peeped the first look of the Nets’ jerseys, which is black, and the whole team wore them during the game. It was inspired by the Brooklyn Bridge that is detailed with graphics to represent the bridge steel cables. They are the only team to wear the full franchise name on their jerseys. Their motto, “Brooklyn’s Unite,” appears on their tags.
