Troy Ave recently released a video for his latest track, “2 Legit 2 Quit.” Thus, prompting a reaction from Casanova 2x. It’s no secret the two Brooklyn MC’s are not friends. Their beef stems from issues between Ave and popular podcaster, Taxstone.

As the self-proclaimed “NuPac,” Ave usually embraces controversy. The video certainly echoes controversy. Due to the “problematic glorification of violence,” you won’t be seeing this video on your television screen.

The animated visual closely mirrors a myriad of unfortunate events. Ave provided a glimpse of what may have occurred during the assassination-style attempt made on his life while driving his Ferarri. Furthermore, the video seems to also depict what may have unfolded during the shooting at Irving Plaza.

“Sucka fired, I got hit. I beat him up and took his pistol (right out his hand.) I was blowin’ to make him RIP, he was scared and he was swift. Table’s turned now watch him fleeeee.”

One character from the animated visual appears to be wearing an #UNSAFETHO shirt. Some speculate this is a direct shot at Tax, who is known to ask his beloveds to #BESAFETHO.

Later in the song, Ave says, “I’m only loyal to my fam, middle finger from the stand (it’s either me or its you”). This line would suggest that he is willing to take the stand against Tax, who was implicated in the violence at Irving Plaza.  Currently, Tax is incarcerated while awaiting trial.

Casanova must’ve caught wind of the song and he took to social media to share his thoughts on the “2 Legit 2 Quit” MC:

Watch out for a Nigga that put out song and say “I’m only loyal to my fam middle finger from the stand it’s either me or its you” cause they f*cking RATS,” tweeted Casanova. He continued on to state, “GOD IS GREAT AND YOUR PAPER WORK IS STRAIGHT MASTER SPLINTER… SUCK MY D*CK RAT.”

Let’s hope this beef stays on wax and doesn’t play out in the streets of New York.
