Veteran rapper and Fugees member, Pras launched his media platform, Blacture, during the Superbowl on February 4, landing a spot to promote his platform as a teaser.
In the commercial Pras is seen blindfolded with tape across his mouth, as he stands on stage in an empty theater. He unveils everything and walks off with the words, “Be celebrated. Not tolerated.”
He posted the commercial on Twitter, along with a small visual of his new platform that is about black voices in the community. Per the website, the goal is to “promote black excellence and increase awareness and understanding of the tremendous influence the black artistic community has on American culture.” The content will include artists and influencers telling stories that aren’t reported in mass media.
The platform will launch on April 2, and is hosting a Black History Month campaign honoring iconic figures in the black community.
