Jonathan Tuck, her younger brother, was shot and killed in the Bronx, NY. Authorities believe the 25-year-old victim was attempting to buy marijuana when he was shot in the face around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday. He was less than a mile from his home.

He later died from his injuries at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Police continued to search the second floor apartment on Washington Ave, near E.185th St. for clues. Police speculate the victim argued with his attacker prior to the shooting. While the investigation remains active, it is unclear if the struggle ensued due the alleged weed sale.

Long time friend, Brandon Davis spoke highly of Jonathan, “He’s a good guy, He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. There was no reason for him to be there.”

He was an avid football fan. Davis says Jonathan was supposed to watch the Super Bowl with him, but he never showed.

Khaled and Nicole were in Minnesota for the game when the family received the news. Nicole and her mom rushed to the Bronx to be at Jonathan’s side.

He leaves behind a one-year-old daughter.

A 34-year-old man has been taken into police custody for questioning. However no one has been charged in the murder.

Both Khaled and Nicole have remained silent on the subject, as they and the rest of Jonathan’s family await answers as to who and why this young man’s life was cut short. We extend our condolences and deepest sympathies to Ms Nicole Tuck, the Tuck family, DJ Khaled and all the friends who mourn his death.
