Apparently in a recent interview, Trump Jr… uses pictures of rappers and black celebrities as justification that Donald Trump isn’t racist.

After President Donald Trump’s “Sh*thole” comments, he is definitely in hot water with the African-American community as well as people of African descent worldwide. In an interview with The Daily Caller, Donald Trump Jr. attempted to vindicate his father based on his relationships with black celebs prior to the election. The Donald before he became the POTUS is polarizing figure, however since ascending to the most powerful post in the land, he has undertaken actions that would suggest he is far worse than previous incarnations of The Apprentice star.

Trump Jr.’s statements reflects the answer to interviewer Ginny Thomas’ guided question, “What do you think about the left’s efforts to frame your dad and anyone who supports your dad as a hater, as a racist, as a fascist?”  To which he replied with no minced words, soundly pointing out his father’s past relationships with rappers and the black community that he can’t the racist the media is making him out to be. Claiming it’s all part of the game plan from jump to smear and tarnish his father’s name. However, with President Trump’s latest gaffe he may have sunk his on battleship. Trump Jr.. claims that it’s a lot of crying wolf and desensitizing people’s reactions when racism is used to vilify people. The most poignant part of the interview is when Trump Jr. had this reply:

“And what it’s doing, on the other side, is it’s hurting those that are actually afflicted by it so it’s been terrible to watch. I see, I know him [as the president], I’ve seen him my whole life. I’ve seen the things he’s done. You know it’s amazing — all the rappers, all his African-American friends, from Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, have pictures with him,” said Trump Jr… in a statement.

For most people actions are bigger than words, even though it’s said a picture is worth a thousand words. For many people, candid pictures with black celebs don’t line up with the policies of his administration. Also with Donald Trump Sr’s attacks on Barack Obama on the legitimacy of his birth certificate that ended with an unlikely lawsuit with political comedian Bill Maher (who defended the previous president) no one seems to be buying it.
