The multiple award-winning rapper Skyzoo of Brooklyn has released his fourth solo studio album entitled In Celebration Of Us two weeks ago. The 15-track release containing no rap features and only a short calibre of hook blessing guest appearances (Raheem DeVaughn, Kay Cola and more), leaving room for Skyzoo to showcase his abilities on the mic. Having grown up just a block away from The Notorious B.I.G. and witnessing him go from local rapper to superstar, Biggie along with Jay-Z, Nas, Mos Def and Chi Ali would remain large musical influences on the talented Skyzoo.

Skyzoo has been releasing music on his own imprint First Generation Rich since his May 2014 collaborative album Barrel Brothers with Coney Island rapper Torae in association with Empire Distribution. Before this, Skyzoo released music on both NYC’s Duck Down Music and Grammy-winning producer 9th Wonder’s Jamla Records. The track Baker’s Dozen is the first single off the new In Celebration Of Us album, with Detroit’s Apollo Brown of Mello Music Group behind the production and builds on the chemistry between the two since they released the joint album together in 2016 titled The Easy Truth. That album was a certified hit and peaked at #11 on the Top Heatseekers Chart.

The prolific Skyzoo is off to Japan to tour his new album later this month after touring Africa and Europe extensively last year with Apollo Brown as well as domestically. Skyzoo began his musical career by releasing his own mixtapes throughout New York as a teenager in 2002 and has since gone on to work with the likes of DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, Westside Gunn, Black Thought of The Roots, Jadakiss, Jill Scott, Talib Kweli of Black Star, Styles P, Just Blaze, Nottz, Wale and Havoc of Mobb Deep.
