After the divorce from his wife of 18 years, Malaak Compton- Rock, comedian Chris Rock wanted to get back into the dating scene. On his new Netflix special, Chris Rock: Tamborine, he revealed that at one point after his divorce was finalized, he made an attempt to flirt with singer Rihanna at an exclusive party. Rihanna apparently is not into dating older men because she turned him away for many reasons, but one being their age difference.
“I was like, ‘OK’, let’s start this again. Let me say what’s up, right? And I’m like, how you doing Rihanna?
Chris confessed that her response was not the best. He stated that she looked at him like he was ‘one of her aunts’ and claimed that she didn’t even register him as a d-ck carrying member of society. Ouch!
Rock continued to say, “I would have had an easier time f-cking Aretha Franklin.” Chris has been vocal about his liking for RiRi in the past. In February 2016 at the Academy Awards, Chris made a joke referencing Rihanna. Speaking about the stars who chose to boycott the ceremony in order to support the #OscarsSoWhite movement, he singled out Jada Pinkett Smith. He said,
“Jada said she’s not coming. Isn’t she on a TV show? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited.”
