After making waves earlier this week with announcing that he is changing his stage name to SEX, Young Thug continues to stay on the wave with another announcement stating that he will not be making or releasing any new music in 2018.

In an interview with HypeBeast, the Atlanta-bred rapper mainly talked about fashion and what it means to him. “I am fashion,” he said. “I don’t think it could get any deeper. I live and breathe this.” However, he briefly talked about having a deaf brother, the main reason why he will not be making any new music. “I got a deaf brother. So, I want to act deaf for a year… I ain’t going to put out no new music this year,” he said.

He did reference a possibility of dropping his highly-anticipated, delayed Hi-Tunes album. “2019 I’ll probably put out Hi-Tunes”.

Thug has come off of a fresh 2017, releasing a joint project with Future called Super Slimey, along with an EP titled Young Martha EP and a single called Beautiful Thugger Girls.
