This woman came out when men were dominated during the Golden Era of Rap and has been considered one of hip-hop’s pioneer feminists. Not only that she rapped like a guy but she flipped what a man would say with a feminine touch. Throughout her career, she a became a powerful force to wrecking with and always stood up for women’s rights. She made history as she became the very first female rapper to crossover in movies and since then has put out music. Known for her killer rhymes, she is also an advocate for doing things for the community as she is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. She is the founder of the Hip Hop Sisters Foundation that promotes mentorship to young girls everywhere.
