The festival takes place on August 25th and 26th at Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn, NY. Other artists set to perform are Tyler The Creator, The Internet, Jaden Smith, Daniel Caesar, Denzel Curry, Jamila Woods, Wicked Wisdom, Lion Babe, and H.E.R.

Tickets for the highly-anticipated music festival are on sale right now through the festival’s website. This year, AfroPunk has begun a new initiative called BOGO (Buy One Get One) Ticket where festival goers can purchase a ticket for themselves and receive another ticket to give to an underprivileged youth in the New York Community.

Festival goers can also get a ticket through AFROPUNK (AP) ARMY, an initiative that “serves as a catalyst for social movements and helps organizations tackle pressing issues in their community: LGBTQ+ rights, gentrification, and systemic oppression”. Those who chose to volunteer for AP ARMY are to “bring focus and awareness to issues of social justice”.
