Since his viral smash hit “Look At Me!” dropped, X had the opportunity to work with many different artists. Heralded as one of the leading artists of his generation, XXX received praise from Hip-Hop’s heavyweights like J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, and a laundry list of admiration from others. The list of artists who would have collaborated with X in comparison to those that did are an indication of the quality music possibilities that are left on the table. However, the work that he did release created moments for his fan base.

Take a look at five great collaborations the 20-year-old did during his career:

1. “F*ck Love” Feat. Trippie Redd

XXXTentacion dropped “F*ck Love” on his SoundCloud as a preview to his debut album 17, which also featured the platinum single “Jocelyn Flores.” On March 7 of this year, the Trippie Redd-featured track was certified Platinum by the RIAA.  Since this track was released in 2017, Trippie Redd’s career has taken off mostly because of his own projects A Love Letter to You and its sequel, but a Platinum plaque didn’t hurt his value either.

Some birthday I’m having.

2. “Infinity (888)” Feat. Joey Bada$$

After his most recent release from prison, X teased the idea of a collab album with Brooklyn’s Joey Bada$$, to which the Pro Era rapper was all in on. Shortly after the tease, the two lyricists killed a freestyle over Jay Rock’s “King’s Dead,” which currently has more than two million views on the Pro Era official YouTube channel (more than 6 million on WorldstarHipHop’s YouTube channel). The two linked up again on the South Florida MC’s sophomore LP, simply and oddly titled ?, for the track titled “Infinity (888).” Joey and X trade verses over a boom bap-style instrumental.

We also learn a little bit about their character before they start spitting, where X jokingly says “sometimes you just gotta catch chlamydia on these N—as” to which Joey cleans up by saying “I’ll catch all the diseases in the world if it means there will be no more diseases,” to which X co-signs as “G Sh–.”

At a loss for words King. We had a very special relationship that I will cherish forever. Thankful and honored to have called you a friend, to have been welcomed so closely to your energy and even inside your home. You were a true Alchemist transforming the negatives to positives with a constant devotion of making yourself a better person. I Love you like a brother. Often saw myself and the good in you and that led me to stay loyal to you no matter what people told me they thought about you. Always believed you were a truly good spirited person at heart and nothing will ever change that. Another Hero gone way too soon. I prayed the news wasn’t true you had way too much of a bright future ahead. REST IN PEACE my brother I know STEELO is awaiting your arrival to welcome you in open arms. Warrior of light ?

3. “Roll in Peace” – Kodak Black Feat. XXXTentacion

Both representing South Florida, Kodak Black and XXXTentacion have been no strangers to each other during their come up. On their biggest record yet, Kodak and X teamed up for “Roll in Peace” which was an RIAA certified Platinum record as of February and has more than 56 million views on YouTube. Both artists were also fighting separate cases at the same time. During the time Kodak shot the video for the track, X was locked up and unable to be in the video. However, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper was able to sneak in some visuals of his Broward County friend during a court appearance.

4. “I don’t even speak spanish lol” feat. Rio Santana

This track, which was featured on ?, was the track that proved X wouldn’t shy away from any beat. Straying away from his Hip-Hop or rock type songs, X jumped on a Latin track with Rio Santana. Santana was the prominent voice on the track, but X’s verse took nothing away from the vibe of the song. Santana, who resides from Palm Beach, Florida, posted video of the two hanging out in Broward County prior to the release of the album. After learning of his passing, Rio sent his condolences to the late MC on Instagram.

?RIP @xxxtentacion My brother you live forever in my HEART! ? #LEGENDSNEVERDIE

5. “What in XXXTarnation” feat. Ski Mask The Slump God

Really, you could pick any track with these two on it as a collaboration to remember. Ski Mask The Slump God and XXXTentacion came into the game as best friends, always working together on music, doing joint interviews and even working with the same producers. Fans of the two rappers might remember the Members Only 3 project where X, Ski Mask, and others sent fans into a frenzy with fresh music, ultimately creating a lane for “SoundCloud rappers.” The two had a public falling out at one point where X declared he wouldn’t work on any music until Slump became his friend again. Ski Mask gave his reasons for falling back on his friendship with his fellow Floridian, one being that he felt threatened by some of the things X would say to him.

Fortunately, the two made amends after X initially denied Slump’s request for a feature on his latest project. The duo performed side by side at the Rolling Loud festival this year, thus showing fans that they were on good terms. With X now gone, Slump God used Instagram to apologize for having issues with his great friend in the first place.

I Love You , I’m Sorry For Everything , Forever Jahseh Fucking Forever
