Coming into the draft, Trae Young is one of the most popular athletes exiting the NCAA along with Arizona’s Deandre Ayton and Duke’s Marvin Bagley III who are expected to be the overall #1 and #2 picks respectively. Both Bagley III and Ayton inked a deal with Puma prior to the draft.

Trae Young is bringing more than just his on-court ability to Adidas it seems. According to Bleacher Report, Trae Young is the most followed player on social media among athletes entering the draft. Young has often been compared to Two-time MVP Stephen Curry for his long-range shooting ability and overall high powered offensive talent. Young carried the Oklahoma Sooners to an NCAA tournament appearance but got bumped in the first round by Rhode Island despite a 28 point, 7 assist effort.

According to a CBS Sports mock draft, the one-and-done baller is expected to get drafted 6th overall by the Orlando Magic. However, the Atlanta Hawks have the third overall pick and Migos rapper and Atlanta native Quavo has already said that he wants Trae Young in his city. With the growing influence that rappers have on the NBA, it wouldn’t be surprising if Quavo’s endorsement of Trae Young sends a signal to the Hawks Front Office.
