According to a confirmed report from TMZ, co-founder and drummer for heavy metal band Pantera Vinnie Paul has died at the age of 54.
Paul helped to found the group with his late brother Darrell “Dimebag” Abbot in the 80s, who was shot and killed a year after the group broke up in 2003 when a man ran on stage and and began shooting, killing four people including Abbot.
Pantera was a Grammy-mominated band in 1995 and 2001, with a #1 album, Far Beyond Driven, on the Billboard charts for Heavy Metal in 1994.
