The NBA Offseason has already been a wild one, which has been headlined by the signing of LeBron James to the Los Angeles Lakers. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports Ball has a torn meniscus in his left knee and was supposed to remain information privy to those within the Lakers organization. The injury is not believed to be detrimental to Ball’s ability to participate in any of the forthcoming camps and preseason games.

“That knee injury, I think there was a belief around the Lakers is that it was within his world that that got leaked out there to keep him from getting traded. He doesn’t want to be traded from L.A.,” Woj shared. It wasn’t the Lakers who wanted information out on that knee injury.”

In a move that gained interest around league into the motive, the Lakers signed veteran point guard Rajon Rondo who started last season for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Ironically, in trade talk amongst the Lakers, most notably with the Spurs, Lonzo isn’t mentioned. The Spurs have requested many pieces from the Lakers in return for their top five NBA talent in Kawhi Leonard but seemingly want no part of the son of Lavar Ball.

It will be interesting to see how the roster continues to take shape or if it is already done. The NBA Offseason may already be more entertaining than the entire NBA Finals.
