LA Graffiti Artist Jonas Never Welcomes LeBron James to LA with an Amazing Mural Jason Cordner July 8, 2018 Source Sports | News, Highlights and Interviews Famous LA Graffiti Artist, Jonas Never, paid a special tribute to LeBron James for signing with his hometown Los Angeles Lakers. Welcome to LA, Lebron! Thanks to @babybluesbbq for the wall and my boy @mensoone for the lettering! #thekingofla #lebronjames #kingjames #lakers #venice #losangeles #mural 📷: @zephaniemonroe A post shared by Jonas Never (@never1959) on Jul 6, 2018 at 3:27pm PDT The exact location is on the wall of Baby Blues BBQ in Venice. Excitement is clearly building in Los Angeles and it should only grow even more as the NBA season nears and fans get to see James in a Lakers uniform for the first time. Never is also behind other incredible murals that include Kobe Bryant, Ronda Rousey, Craig Sager and Stuart Scott. Just a few weeks ago, Never created a beautiful mural for the late Anthony Bourdain on the wall of the Gramercy bar on Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica. Happy birthday #anthonybourdain … wish you would’ve made it to 62. Photo by @polkimaging (while I was working on the mural). Seeing how this piece, and my other memorial walls, have affected folks has made me really think about who else needs walls done in their memory. Anyone at @arizonastateuniversity or @azcardinals have a wall available for Pat Tillman? #mural #ripanthonybourdain #partsunknown #noreservations A post shared by Jonas Never (@never1959) on Jun 25, 2018 at 2:27pm PDT while murals are going up in LA, James’ iconic banner in downtown Cleveland is officially coming down. The banner — a 10-story-tall billboard — has become an icon in Cleveland, showing James doing his famous chalk throw before a game. Clearly, Cleveland’s pain is now becoming LA’s gain, as the city embraces their new king.
