Our good homie The Shoe Surgeon has been up to some dope stuff since we last checked him at the Shoe School in NYC back in May — one of those things being an eclectic sneaker collaboration with L.A.-based clothier Bristol Studio.

Utilizing the adidas Crazy BYW silhouette as a base, Dominic played with mixed media in the form of aluminum, PVC, cardboard, and paper to create one of the most interesting silhouettes we’ll probably see for all of Fashion Week here in the Big Apple. The range of kicks were inspired by 3D objects to give the feel of expansion and, well, dimensions that you don’t normally find in clothing, unless it’s being worn. It’s hard to call these “colorways” exactly, but there’s a “Brown”/cardboard-based version, a “red-orange”/Basketball leather iteration, and a standout “black”/patent leather version to round out the set. Wearable, these are not, but they pass with flying colors in the creative department.

Get a look at all three versions of the adidas Crazy BYW collaboration from The Shoe Surgeon and Bristol Studio below, and peep our own NYFW: Men’s coverage throughout the week here on TheSource.com.
