When the world went to Wakanda many Marvel fans gravitated toward actor Winston Duke for his role as M’Baku. Duke will be adding another role to his resume when he will be late, legendary MMA fighter Kimbo Slice in the film Backyard Legend.

Deadline reports the new film will be produced by Bee Holder Productions owned by Steve Lee Jones and Michael J. Weiss’Webros Entertainment.

For those unfamiliar with Kimbo Slice, the famed fighter gains a following on YouTube via his backyard brawl videos before contending in Bellator mixed martial arts. Slice’s last fight was three months before he died, which was in June 2016. Slice died at 42 from heart failure and liver mass.

The talents of Winston Duke will be on full display for the film. Not only will he have the lead role, but will also serve as one of the Executive Producers for the film. The other Executive Producer will be Michael Imber, a longtime friend of Kimbo who will also be a fixture of the film.

“I’m looking forward to exploring Kimbo’s story and interrogating the expectations society places on men like him who are their own special breed of hero,” said Duke.
